Yuvaram Reddy, MBBS, MPH is a nephrologist and implementation scientist dedicated to narrowing disparities in home dialysis use for patients with kidney failure. Dr. Reddy’s research focuses on 1) understanding barriers to home dialysis, 2) developing implementation strategies to improve home dialysis use, and 3) evaluating the impact of health policy and payment models on health equity in kidney disease. Through an LDI pilot fund, he partnered with the payment insights team to study the impact of the ESRD Treatment Choices model on health equity (for context, this Medicare payment model is the largest randomized controlled trial in US history to incorporate a health equity incentive). Nationally, he evaluates health policy as a member of the American Society of Nephrology Quality Committee and the Home Dialysis Steering Committee. His research draws from methodologies in health services research and implementation science and has been funded by the NIH, AHRQ, PCORI, VA, LDI, and the American Society of Nephrology.
